Life Wonderings of a Nature Lover: Oriole

I held you, soft-feathered, warm, frantic heart beating, cradled in my hands.

The wild flurry of wings subsiding, after-shock of colliding into the windowpane.

I was in awe for those incredible moments. Your red eye glistening, sheen of brilliant yellow and black feathers, claws grasping my finger as equilibrium returned.

For that short space in time you surrendered, trusting, our heart beats met.

Then on swift wings you rose into the air, restored.
